Okay I'm a sucker for older buses (as you can see by my hype for the Ikarus.) This isn't a particularly excellent bus, and does have some areas that need to be worked on, but with that said, I did like the bus. They come with quite a few skins too.Īutosan H9-35. There is a ton of modification they can have, and they are also very nicely done. MAN Stadtbus collection is another worth looking at. It is very well detailed, with options to change things such as the destination board style (rollbands or different types of Matrix type displays), the ticket selling machine, and so forth. The O405 is also worth looking at as well. ![]() Very little automation on them, so doors have to be closed manually though, and of course, they only have a stick transmission so far (though there were some that did have an Automatic transmission, not sure why BusTrainz has not added any of those variants, I don't mind too much personally since it gives me an excuse to use my H-Shifter.) I certainly also love the whole Ikarus buses (Citybus i280/i260/Regiobus i200 (which is getting a big update soon btw, for those who were disappointed just to see the i280.03.) They're very detailed, and have a lot of neat options on them. OTOH, I liked driving on the Rheinhausen map, it's not perfect, and the lights feel like they were programmed by the Traffic Engineers who live in Central Florida, but I like how there is a nice mixture of everything, from driving out in the country side all the way to the driving in a small city. Plenty of routes that can be driven on, with a lot of good detail, and on top of that, it has rollband support for the O405/O305/MAN SD200s. Berlin X10 is also an excellent map, covering the area from around the Zoo in Berin, all the way down to Teltow and some of it's surrounding areas. I'm hoping we see the LHD versions of the Enviro 500s that are supposed to replace them soon. Transmission: Mercedes-Benz GO4 714.If you're looking for more modern double deckers, the Berlin X10 addon has the MAN Lion City DLs, which currently serve in Berlin. ![]() ![]() The production of the O303 can be divided into two periods, the first of which began in 1974 with the original model and the second start in 1982, which introduced an updated design mainly in the front (headlights and bumpers were now painted gray) and a completely new dashboard. Mercedes also delivered the O303 to every corner of the globe, where they were further developed by local bus manufacturers. Today, the latest copies of this extremely successful bus disappear from German roads. This is due to age and lack of compliance with environmental requirements, especially in large cities. 28 years after production stopped, now is the time to recall one of the most important bus families of the 1970s and 80s by re-creating the O303 for OMSI. ![]() The best-selling in the world. Despite the lack of great technical and design innovations over its predecessor, the 18-year production period and the popularity of the bus around the world to this day are clear signs of its high degree of quality and durability. Mercedes-Benz O303 was introduced in 1974 as a replacement for the successful O302 series, was Mercedes-Benz O303 – 15 KHP – L bus mod for Omsi 2.
